Day Programme
06:30 – 08:15 MORNING CARE (Please take note that we only open at 06:45 during government school holidays)
The children arrive and do free activities inside the classroom.
The children play outside in summer if it is not raining.
The children enjoy breakfast till 08h00.
08:15 – 08:30 SCHOOL STARTS
(Please have your child at school by 08h15 if possible)
Group greeting where we do the following:
Greeting, children share news, register, Bible verse, days of the week, months of the year, seasons and weather.
08:30 – 09:00 GROSS-MOTOR ACTIVITIES
Mind Moves – Organised Gross-Motor activities
Additional activities take place either in the mornings during summer or during outside playtime.
09:00 – 10:00 GROUP DISCUSSIONS & THEME
We do circle discussions on different topics (about 15 minutes per group), e.g. our bodies, water, our solar system, our country, etc. Presentation of experiments.
09:00 – 10:00 WORK CYCLE
Individual Montessori exercises are presented to each child, for children aged 3-5 work cycle can continue until 10:30.
The children choose their own work from different areas namely: Practical life, Sensorial, Geometry, Language, Math and Cultural e.g. Botany, Geography, etc. Observation and recording.
10:00 – 10:30 SNACK TIME
Wash hands, pray and snack time. Snack time can then be from 10:30 for the older children.
10:30 – 12:00 OUTSIDE PLAYTIME
Free play outside. Extramural activities.
12:00 – 12:30 STORYTIME
(Storytime might change without notice, as on rainy days!)
Story, songs, rhymes and memory & listening games.
12:30 – HALF DAY CHILDREN GO HOME
Free play with blocks, puzzles, etc.
Parents fetch half day children.
12:45 – 13:00 LUNCHTIME
Wash hands and have lunch. Get ready for a nap.
13:00 – 14:45 SLEEP OR REST – all ages have to rest
14:45 – 15:00 FREE PLAY INSIDE
Drawings, blocks, puzzles and books.
15:00 – 17:00 OUTSIDE PLAY TIME
The duration of this time will change according to the season and weather.
16:00 SNACK TIME
Wash hands, pray and snack time, usually outside.
17:00 – 17:30 INSIDE PLAY TIME
Drawings, blocks, puzzles and books.
17:30 – SCHOOL CLOSES
Full-day children are being fetched.
